Teaching Experience
In January 2005, I moved as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Physics
of the Univ. of Crete, and I was promoted to Associate Professor in May 2009.
My teaching duties have been the following:
- Spring 2005: Physics Lab I - Mechanics & Thermodynamics
- Fall 2005: Physics I (Freshman Physics)
- Spring 2006: Physics Lab I - Mechanics & Thermodynamics
- Fall 2006: Physics Lab I - Mechanics & Thermodynamics and Physics of Galaxies
- Spring 2007: Physics Lab I - Mechanics & Thermodynamics
- Fall 2007: Astrophysics I and Differential Equations - Exercises
- Spring 2008: Physics Lab
I - Mechanics & Thermodynamics
- Fall 2008: General Physics I
- Spring 2009: General Physics I and Physics of Galaxies
- Fall 2009: General Physics I
- Spring 2010: Physics of Galaxies
During the years of my graduate studies, the research priorities of
both NASA and NSF were not frequently coinciding with the ones of the
research group where I belonged. As a result for several semesters I
got the opportunity (sic) to be a Teaching Assistant in the following
courses:
- Astro 120 -
The Sky and the Solar System:
Fall89, Spring90, Fall90, Spring91, Fall91, Spring94.
- Astro 150 -
Stars, Galaxies, and Cosmology: Fall91, Fall95
- Astro 346 -
Introduction to Astrophysics: Spring92
- Physics 111 -
General Physics: Summer90
- Physics 222 -
Introduction to Classical Physics:
Summer92, Summer94
- Physics 550 - Computational Physics: Fall92, Fall93
- Physics 531 - Statistical Mechanics: Fall93
